About Newrobics, Inc.

Newrobics, Inc. was founded by Nannette Wiener and Malkie Raskas, two “Carpool Moms” who wanted to share their passion for mental and physical fitness and promote whole-body wellness. They decided to draw upon their science and fitness training backgrounds and their child-raising experience to create unique mental and physical exercises that turn one’s immediate environment into a mind and body gym.  Carpool Karma™ is the first instructional audio program to be released by Newrobics. The company is already developing other Carpool Karma™ titles that will focus on in-car mind and body exercises for moms and kids, as well as an advanced workout CD, which will be released later in 2009.

Nannette Wiener

Nannette Wiener is an entrepreneur and mother of six with a general love of science. She holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Biology and has completed coursework towards a Master's Degree in Child Life Studies. Nannette has served as head of international sales for a family-owned gift basket and household accessories business and also founded an outsourced medical transcription company. She primarily, however, serves as Chief Chauffeur for her brood and regularly logs tens of hours per week circling her hometown.

Malkie Raskas

Malkie Raskas is a vivacious mother of five who has been promoting physical fitness for more than two decades. A certified fitness trainer and weight management consultant, Malkie founded the Sound Body fitness studio in Baltimore, Maryland and has developed many innovative fitness training techniques, including the AquaTread™ fitness program. Malkie has received certifications from the major organizations in the exercise field, including the American Council on Exercise, the Exer-Safety Association, and the Aquatic Exercise Association. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology, with a concentration in the physiology of exercise. With five child-athletes, she has been a four-season carpool mom.
